Congratulations to these’super seniors’ on their well-deserved achievement! A diploma can mean so much to someone. However, having one can make it difficult to be appreciative. In contrast, veterans make numerous sacrifices when they enlist in the military. However, there are several ways to compensate for missed life experiences.
In 1956, four young men from Springdale High School were unable to attend their graduation ceremony.
Carl Stults, Bobby Burke, Charles Leroy Moon, and Bob Self were all former Springdale pupils.
However, by the end of their senior year, they had decided to leave their hometown.
They enrolled in the military. They took GED examinations before graduation to enroll, and then jetted off to distant lands before they could walk and shake hands with their principal.
They started their careers in the military, but they always felt there was something lacking.
Moon, Burke, Self, and Stults were all given the opportunity to go to areas for business that they would not have had otherwise.
They traveled to places such as the Philippines and Hong Kong and learned a great deal about the world.
However, they never forgot their roots and finally returned to Springdale, Arkansas.
They proceeded to live their lives, but they never received their certificates.
Now retired, the four men meet at a cafe in their hometown.
That’s where some current Springdale High School instructors first encountered them.
At the Wagon Wheel Cafe, the four veterans were getting together, when they came across
