We’ve all been in a place, wherein we are suspicious about the schedule of our partners. If your gut ever tells that your partner is hiding something from you, before acting upon it, you’d want to gather some more information.
The bottomline is to not immediately react to a vague thought and fight over something that you aren’t even sure about.
So, if you’ve been ignoring the red flags, here’s how to find out whether or not your partner is hiding something from you.
1. He is being overly nice.
If treating you to a nice restaurant to have dinner is not usual for your partner, it may be a sign that he is up to something. He may be trying to hide things from you by distracting your attention to something pleasant so that you won’t ask him questions. Also, in some way he may feel guilty that he has to hide something from you and by behaving too nicely he tries to not feel so guilty.
2. He is overreacting.
When you start to ask questions about what your partner may be hiding and he starts to react in a defensive way, it may also show that he has something to hide from you. It can go to even as far as when you simply ask what they did this afternoon and your partner starts to scream at you that you don’t let him have his privacy.
3. He is protective of his phone.
Although your phone is a private thing, you should feel no reason why your partner couldn’t see it. If you want to use his phone and he doesn’t let you, it is one of the main signs that he is hiding something from you. Also, if your partner takes his phone with him even when he goes to a bathroom, it is an even clearer sign that he has secrets about which he doesn’t want you to know.
4. He is emotionally distant.
If before your partner expressed his emotions freely and now it seems that he doesn’t open up to you anymore, it may be a sign that he is having secrets. Also, if before he was very talkative at parties and now he sits in the corner and doesn’t want to socialize, it is also a sign that he may be hiding something.
5. They turn the tables and accuse you of ᴄʜᴇᴀᴛɪɴɢ.
Cheaters usually make others believe that in fact they are the ones who are ᴄʜᴇᴀᴛɪɴɢ but not them. If you want to see his phone to check with who he has been chatting, your partner may tell you that you are too needy and you don’t trust him. ᴄʜᴇᴀᴛᴇʀs usually make another person guilty of their own actions so that their partners would stop asking questions about their secrets.
