Students are allocated more complicated educational assignments as they get older. However, there are times when children face difficult assignments.
When such situations arise, some parents seek the assistance of the online community to find an answer for their children. Some of them are shared on the Reddit and Twitter communities.
Grade 1 English
A mother was perplexed by her first-grade son’s English homework, which required him to circle photographs that ended with the same sound as a fish’s fin. However, the possibilities were far from ideal. The options included a hamburger bun, a frog, a jar lid, and a spoon.
Some Reddit users shared their ideas with the clueless mom, arguing that the finishing sound did not have to rhyme with fin. Some solutions included “bun” and “spoon,” both of which ended in a “n.”
Kindergarten School Work
Most kindergarten homework questions are simple to solve with the assistance of an adult. However, one parent was unable to think of the three-letter word needed to identify the picture on the activity page. The image depicted a rabbit with her bunnies playing.
Fortunately, a thoughtful Reddit user came up with the finest conceivable answer: pet. “These kinds of worksheets try to make the last one more difficult by switching the sound of the letter to the end of the word to try and throw the kid off,” the individual informed me.
Grade 3 Math Problem
Elementary school pupils’ math problems are frequently simple to solve using all of the numbers provided. However, a Grade 3 pupil had to answer the question, “Janell had 15 marbles. She lost several of them. “How many does Janell have now?”
One Reddit member indicated that the answer was less than 15, but he didn’t think it was a fair question for a third-grader. Other people suggested that the student respond in a similar fashion to the query, such as “Janell lost her marbles.” Another user stated, “She has some left.”
A Six-Year-Old’s Homework
While some educational issues for six-year-olds are visual, one student’s task went beyond her parents’ grasp. Her activity page had a print of a paint splatter and many apples.
The question was, “How many apples could be covered by the paint?” There cannot be more than twenty.” Several Reddit users were perplexed by the question, and one thought it was a riddle.
Solving for X
Math can be hard at times, but there is usually only one solution. However, this particular arithmetic problem was too difficult for the Twitter community.
“It takes 40 minutes for a 120-piece orchestra to perform Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. How long would it take 60 players to play the symphony? The question read, “Let P be the number of players and T be the time spent playing.” While it may seem very difficult, one Twitter user responded:
“The math is irrelevant in the case of this Beethoven 9 problem. As a performer who has performed it many times, the speed of the symphony is NOT a function of the number of musicians performing it.”
