There is nothing more annoying than spending sleepless nights because of the annoying buzzing of mosquitoes. Not to mention the bites and tickles. Mosquitoes seem to multiply at night and disappear during the day.
As strange as it may seem, the ancient belief that mosquitoes prefer sweet blood is partly true. It is the high level of carbon dioxide that attracts mosquitoes, which are able to perceive changes, especially during exercise.
Mosquitoes are also attracted to the smell of sweat, especially if there are large amounts of lactic acid or ammonia.
