A man was having a perfectly quiet weekend until his wife dragged him out of the house to the local cinema. He didn’t want to go, but she was absolutely desperate to watch the latest, highly anticipated romantic comedy.
About half an hour into the film, just as the main characters were falling in love on screen, the man felt a sharp, aggressive nudge in his elbow.
“What an absolute outrage!” his wife murmured to him, her voice trembling with offense as she pointed toward the row ahead.
“Look at that! The person sitting directly in front of us is fast asleep during this beautiful movie!” she whispered, clearly insulted by the stranger’s lack of romantic appreciation.
The husband, looking incredibly annoyed, slowly opened his eyes, blinked at her through the darkness of the theater, and groaned:
“You seriously woke me up just to tell me that?”
