The Surgery Was A Success… Until This 😳
A wealthy German gentleman wakes up after a complex heart operation at a luxury private clinic in Munich.
He finds the chief surgeon standing over his bed with an incredibly solemn expression:
“Herr Schmidt, I have a piece of good news and a piece of bad news for you. Which would you prefer to hear first?”
“Herr Schmidt, I have a piece of good news and a piece of bad news for you. Which would you prefer to hear first?”
Herr Schmidt whispers weakly, “Give me the good news first, Doctor…”
The surgeon smiles with professional pride, “The operation was an absolute masterpiece. Your new heart is functioning flawlessly, exactly like a brand-new Porsche straight off the assembly line. You easily have another thirty years ahead of you.”
Herr Schmidt sighs with immense relief, “Good heavens, thank you! And what is the bad news?”
The surgeon slowly pulls a thick envelope from his coat pocket, places it on the bedside table, and says, “The bad news is that once you look at the total bill for this procedure—especially now that your medical insurance extension has been denied—we will have to schedule a second heart transplant immediately. And this time, I am afraid your bank account will not survive the resuscitation.”
