A married couple woke up early one morning, and while they were still lingering under the warm covers, the wife turned to her husband with a sweet smile and said, “Honey, I really think you shouldn’t go to work today.”
The husband looked at her, thoroughly confused. “What do you mean? Why on earth shouldn’t I go to the office?”
“I just feel like you’ve been working way too hard lately,” the wife suggested gently. “Instead of going to work, you should take a few days off, pack a suitcase, and go stay at a friend’s house for a while to completely unwind.”
The husband couldn’t believe his luck. Thrilled by the unexpected vacation, he eagerly jumped out of bed, got dressed in record time, and began tossing clothes into a travel bag.
While zipping up his suitcase, he paused and looked at his wife out of pure curiosity. “By the way, darling, what exactly made you realize that I was so desperately in need of a break?”
The wife leaned back against the pillows, smiled coldly, and replied, “Because you were dreaming about your job all night long.”
“Really?” the husband laughed nervously. “How could you possibly know I was dreaming about work?”
“Because every two minutes, you were screaming your secretary’s name at the top of your lungs.”
