Newborn baby, Noah Valasco, was born ‘en-caul’ that means the infant is born without breaking the amniotic sac.
People all around the world have been re-posted these fascinating images of a baby boy who was born still inside his amniotic sac, which usually bursts during labour. Newborn baby, named Noah Valasco by his mother Monyck Valasco, was born ‘en caul’ – meaning the infant is born without breaking the amniotic. Being born with an ‘en caul’ is rare, which occurs in almost one-in-100,000 rare occurrence.
In the photos shared, baby Noah can still be seen inside the amniotic sac after being born via caesarean section at the Praia da Costa Hospital in the city of Vila Velha in the Brazilian state of Espirito Santo. The rare moment was apparantly captured by photographer Jana Brasil specialising in photos of births. His whole body was engulfed by the sac, which gave him a little strange appearance.
Mum Monyck, 34, shared “People all around the world are re-posting the photos and looking for us,”.
Reportedly, baby Noah had to be in the hospital some days as gynaecologist Rafael Angelo Baggieri said that he newborn was ‘tired’ after the birth. The newborn was allowed to go home by the end of the week.
