5-Yr-Old Saves Dad’s Life With Unforgettable 911 Call.
If only we could all remain as calm and collected during a pending disaster as Savannah Hensley — and she’s only five years old!
Little Savannah Hensley had quite a morning a few years ago.
Savannah of Indiana ended up saving her dad’s life because she knew how to call 911 when her dad was having chest pains. She remained calm and communicated clearly.
After her father began experiencing chest pains and breathing difficulties, he dialed 911 for help. However, it was Savannah who had to take over the phone call when her dad became too uncomfortable to carry on the conversation.
As you listen to the conversation, you can hear Savannah taking over the call with ease, informing the dispatcher that her dad could not breathe. The dispatcher assured the little girl that help was on the way and that her job was to stay with her daddy and make sure that he did not fall asleep.
Dispatcher: “What’s wrong?”
Savannah: “Um, my Dad can’t hardly breathe.”
Bonham asked if the door was unlocked.
She had to ask her dad who said it wasn’t. She then followed Bonham’s instructions to unlock the door so that the emergency responders could enter their home.
In the meantime, she made sure to comfort her dad.
“Don’t worry Dad!” Savannah said remaining completely composed.
That in itself is about enough to melt your heart, but throughout the entire conversation with the dispatcher, Savannah repeatedly reassures her dad and says, “So far, so good!”
In the end, Savannah’s dad was OK, and the little girl was a hero. But this adorable 911 recording has everyone in stitches.

Savannah’s mom is grateful that the news of the call is still being circulated on social media. She is sure that it will continue to help as more people become aware of the importance of teaching children to call 911 in an emergency.
