One afternoon, Grandma was quietly sipping her coffee while watching her grandchildren gathered in the living room.
Not a single one of them was talking.
Every head was down…
Every pair of eyes was glued to a phone.
The only conversation anyone seemed interested in was:
“Who’s got a charger?”
“Can I borrow your cable?”
“Is there an outlet over there?”
Grandma smiled, shook her head, and said,
“I’ve already figured out exactly how my life is going to end.”
The room went silent.
Everyone finally looked up from their screens.
One grandson asked,
“Really, Grandma? How?”
She took another sip of coffee and replied with a perfectly straight face,
“One of you is going to unplug my life-support machine…”
She paused just long enough…
“…because your phone is down to 2%.”
The entire room exploded with laughter.
Then Grandma added,
“And one of you will probably ask…”
“‘Grandma… are you still using that outlet?'” 😂
These days…
A dead phone seems to be a bigger emergency than anything else! 📱🤣
