Kate Middleton gets paired with unforeseen member of the Trump family at state banquet and eyebrows have been raised

People are perplexed by the perplexing decision regarding Kate Middleton’s partner for yesterday night’s royal procession into the state banquet.

For those who don’t know, Donald Trump and his wife Melania were welcomed to Windsor Castle’s magnificent St George’s Hall yesterday night, September 17, by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Trump gave a speech at the table to cap off the first full day of the POTUS’ second state visit to the UK, which ended with the royal dinner.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria were among the 160 guests who attended the royal occasion, which also included Prince William and Kate Middleton.

At a single long table, White House employees, lesser-known royals, and even tech and business behemoths mixed together. As if it couldn’t get much fancier, the royals and distinguished guests must parade into the room before they are seated.

This merely indicates that they proceed in a systematic manner as part of a formal welcome, typically in pairs, as was the case last evening.

Royal Family followers were taken aback to learn that the Prince and Princess of Wales did not seat next to one other at the dinner and were not placed together.

King Charles and President Trump entered the procession together, of course, and were followed by Melania and the Queen.

Paula Reynolds, an energy professional who is currently the Chair of the National Grid, was led by Prince William next.

Michael Boulos, an American businessman who is married to Tiffany Trump, the youngest daughter of the US president, joined Kate at the same time.

Trump’s sole kid with his ex-wife, Marla Maples, Tiffany, also had a place in the parade, but she was five complete pairs behind her husband.

Eventually, she walked in with the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, and people are seriously baffled by the rogue choices.

Boulos was also seated next to Kate at the table, who was between him and Trump, while Tiffany was further down the table.

And they weren’t the only couple who were split up, as Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, were not together

Anne walked with Warren Stephens, the US ambassador to the United Kingdom, while her husband followed behind, with US healthcare executive Dame Vivian Hunt.

While some people were muddled by the order, one royal fanatic provided an explanation on social media.

They commented: “Tiffany was not snubbed. The Royal Procession into the State Dinner is defined by two things – the Seniority of the Royal firstly who accompanies a person of the opposite sex is the second mandatory rule.”

While it varies by event, the royal procession does usually seek a set order, with the most senior royals entering first. And who knows? Maybe they just demanded to blend things up by not having some of the couples together.
