A husband, his wife, and their 6-year-old son, Kevin, were having dinner at a restaurant.
When the waiter brought the bill, Dad opened his wallet, stared inside, and let out a dramatic sigh.
“Honey, I’m so sorry. I don’t have enough cash. My wallet is completely empty.”
His wife frowned.
“Again?! I told you to stop at the ATM this morning!”
Before Dad could say another word, Kevin cheerfully announced,
“Don’t worry, Mom! Dad is lying. He’s not poor!”
Dad’s face went pale.
“Kevin…”
He quickly reached for his son’s mouth, but Kevin pulled away.
Mom narrowed her eyes.
“Kevin, what do you mean?”
Kevin proudly explained,
“I saw Dad in the garage yesterday! He has a second wallet hidden inside his black boot. It’s full of money!”
Mom slowly turned toward her husband.
“A secret garage wallet?”
Dad started sweating.
He leaned toward Kevin and whispered,
“Kevin, please be quiet. I’ll buy you a PlayStation if you don’t say another word.”
Kevin’s eyes lit up.
He stood on his chair and shouted,
“Mom! Dad just offered me a PlayStation!”
Mom raised an eyebrow.
Kevin continued,
“That means there must be a THIRD wallet somewhere!”
Dad stared at his son in horror.
Kevin smiled.
Mom smiled.
The waiter smiled.
Dad fainted.
And Kevin learned the most important lesson of all:
Never negotiate with a six-year-old who has evidence.
