Kissing Might Be Worse Than You Think
Two friends met after a long time apart.
After a bit of small talk, one of them sighed and said thoughtfully:
“I’ve learned something important… never trust ‘scientific advice’ on the internet.”
The other laughed.
“Oh? What did you fall for this time?”
“Nothing ridiculous,” he said.
“It was a very serious article. It said kissing reduces stress, improves heart health, even increases lifespan.”
“Well… that’s true.”
He nodded slowly.
“That’s what I thought. So I decided to test it.”
The other one raised an eyebrow.
“…test it how?”
He shrugged.
“There’s a woman at my office. Let’s just say she looked… very beneficial to my health.”
A pause.
“And?”
He took a sip of his coffee, calm as ever.
“The science isn’t wrong.”
The friend smiled.
“See?”
He looked up.
“It just forgot to mention one minor side effect.”
“What side effect?”
He set his cup down.
“Her husband.”
Silence.
“And his methods…” he added quietly,
“…are very direct.”
The friend said nothing.
“I spent two weeks in the hospital.”
A pause.
“Not sure about my heart…”
“…but my bones definitely disagree.”
