Meghan Markle may have formerly had a royal title, but when it comes to New Year’s resolutions, she’s just like the rest of us: prone to a little backlash! The Duchess of Sussex apparently intended to give up an ‘unladylike’ habit as part of her New Year’s resolutions. Royal fans are aware that Markle has a blog, The Tig, where she chronicles her New Year’s resolutions. Scroll down to learn more about it!
Meghan Markle Vows To Quit THIS Habit
On her old lifestyle blog, the Duchess previously admitted to attempting to kick an “unladylike” habit. While discussing her objectives for the new year, Meghan Markle mentioned that she wished to stop biting her nails, which is something she does after “a couple of drinks.” All of this occurred several months before she met her future husband, Prince Harry.
She said on her blog in 2016: “Run a marathon. Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French. These make up my New Year’s resolution list nearly every year.” She also stated that the marathon did not take place and that the swearing occurred as a result of being overworked after drinking. She attempted to study French in high school but failed in touch with it, so she wanted to relearn the famous language.
“And when it comes to the biting of the nails – well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit,” Markle added.
To avoid disappointing others, the former Suits alum decided not to make resolutions. She remarked that she would now approach life with the intention of laughing and enjoying the simple things. Her New Year’s resolution that year was to leave room for magic.
It is unclear what Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry will face in 2025. The couple will fly to Canada next month for the Invictus Games. We may also see the Duchess eventually debut her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. It will be intriguing to watch what happens next for the couple.
