Prince Harry and King Charles “highly unlikely” to arrange royal sit-down soon

We can be confident that the connection between Prince Harry and King Charles is no longer what it once was. The estranged prince and his father’s relationship was severely strained when Harry discussed his experiences in the royal sphere; Harry’s memoir, Spare, was the final straw.

Despite the long-running animosity, it was surprise that the monarch and queen, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton, chose to congratulate Harry on his 40th birthday a few weeks ago. However, according to one royal expert, birthdays have sadly become another unpleasant aspect of the already strained father-son relationship.

Prince Harry has only gone back to the UK a few times in recent years. While there, he hasn’t seen his father too much, but he’ll get another chance in a few days when the Duke visits the WellChild Awards. A sad new story claims that the monarch and estranged prince would not meet. And the cause is tragic.

King Charles and Prince Harry were not always at odds, despite the fact that the father-son combination seemed to have had issues since Harry was born in 1984. In his book Spare, Harry said that when his second kid came, his father made a joke about finally having his “spare.” Furthermore, Harry explained that he “was brought into the world in case something happened to Willy.”

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle – relationship with King Charles

Nobody can change the past. What can be done, however, is for Charles and Harry to make apologies, particularly for the sake of Harry’s children. Charles, for his part, is claimed to be upset over not being able to see his grandkids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Despite this, Harry has stated that he would not visit the United Kingdom with his wife Meghan and their children because to concerns about their safety.

Speaking with OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond claimed that Archie and Lilibet could be the reason why Harry and Meghan won’t cut off the royals entirely, especially King Charles.

“I can imagine that the King very much wants the chance to get to know Archie and Lilibet and to create some memories for them. The children may provide the most compelling link between Charles and Harry, and convince them both to forgive, if not forget, the bitter rows of the past,” Bond said.

King Charles isn’t taking Harry’s calls, expert claims

Prince Harry hasn’t spoken with his brother, Prince William, in years, and communication with King Charles has been limited. While the Duke allegedly want to make apologies with his father, this looks to be more difficult than one might imagine.

According to royal analyst Emily Andrews, Charles reacts harshly when an assistant approaches him with a phone to alert him that Harry is on the line.

“Now, even his own father isn’t returning his calls. “I’m told that when courtiers bring the phone to the King (Charles does not own a mobile phone), he waves them away in irritation,” she told the Mirror.

“This is not because there’s been yet another falling out,” Mr. Andrews said. “Rather, it is thought to be because Harry wants to continuously discuss his ongoing battle for security, which he has been fighting in the court for four years and believes Charles has the power to reinstate.”

While King Charles was allegedly upset when Harry phoned, the two had a nice phone conversation regarding the prince’s birthday. According to royal analyst Katie Nicholl, the father and son “spoke on the phone” and their connection is “positive.”

Furthermore, Charles remains “hopeful” that their relationship will improve.

“Charles wants to know what’s going on in Harry’s life and learn about the children, but he’s wary because Harry has violated their trust on several occasions. Charles needs to know that their private chats stay just that. “Private,” a source informed the royal expert in Vanity Fair.

Why King Charles was ‘furious’ after Prince Harry’s birthday call

“Charles feels angry and hurt. But he is still his son at the end of the day, which is why it has always been claimed that as much as he is keeping distance from him right now, he would never completely close that door to him,” she revealed on the Palace Confidential podcast.

One of the revelations revealed on the king’s birthday last year was that Harry and Meghan sent Charles a video of Archie and Lilibet. The royal specialist indicated that, if anything, it was a highly personal matter for him and would not be made public.

“One thing I did find out is how really disappointed the king was back in November when Harry did call him to wish him not just a happy 75th birthday, but also his children did a little video singing happy birthday to the grandpa they barely even see,” English stated during the show.

Prince Harry & King Charles’ September reunion “highly unlikely”

Furthermore, the insider stated that a reunion is quite unlikely because neither Harry nor Charles will stay in London for long.

“If the King decides to head to London in the evening of Sunday 29 for meetings pencilled inearly that week, it is still looking highly unlikely that there will be time to meet with his son,” a source told me. “It is yet to be decided whether His Majesty would go to Highgrove or London at the end of his Scottish tour, or how his plans will unfold during that week.

“Harry is also making a flying visit, and his travel arrangements have already been made. There is still time to work things out because nothing is fixed in stone, but it does not appear promising.”
