The formal news was made this afternoon, Tuesday, July 23, and the dynamic city has been selected to host this worldwide athletic event.
Birmingham beat Washington, DC, in a challenging bid to host the international event.
In three years, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are anticipated to return to the UK for the games.
The excitement Prince Harry felt over Birmingham’s successful bid was evident.
“Congratulations to Birmingham, UK, on winning the bid to host the Invictus Games 2027,” he expressed enthusiastically.
