Sophia Loren, 89, appeared to be in excellent spirits when she made a rare public appearance earlier this week.
The Oscar-winning actress was spotted dining with friends at celebrity hotspot Cipriani in Beverly Hills.
In September 2023, the Italian-born actress fell inside her home in Switzerland. Loren sustained multiple “serious fractures” which required surgery and a “few months” of recovery.
Not only were her two sons, Carlo Ponti Jr., 55, and Edoardo Ponti, 51, by her bedside, but well wishes from all around the world poured in.
“I appreciate everyone’s closeness and affection toward me. I’m better; all I need to do now is rehab and take some time off,” a representative said on her behalf.
Loren’s management team published another statement in November alerting fans that her recuperation was progressing “very well,” but she has stayed quiet and out of the spotlight since then.
Loren attended the Damiani Centenary gala banquet at Milan’s Teatro Alcione on March 14, 2024.
However, it wasn’t until recently that we saw the Hollywood actress in public. And she looked as beautiful as ever.
It’s so great to see Sophia Loren up and walking around, especially after such a horrible fall.
