The Danger of Doing Nothing: Why a Lazy Rabbit Learned a Brutal Corporate Lesson
A wise old crow was perched comfortably high up on the branch of a massive oak tree, spending his entire day doing absolutely nothing but enjoying the breeze.
A small, energetic rabbit hopped by, noticed the relaxed crow, and paused. Looking up, the rabbit asked enviously, “Excuse me, Mr. Crow, but can I also sit like you and do absolutely nothing all day long?”
The crow shrugged his feathers and replied, “Sure, why not? Go right ahead.”
Thrilled by the idea, the rabbit tucked his paws in, sat down on the grass directly beneath the crow’s branch, and began to nap.
Out of nowhere, a hungry fox dashed out from the bushes, spotted the sleeping rabbit, pounced on him, and ate him in a single bite.

To be sitting around and doing absolutely nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up in the organization.

A homeowner walked into her kitchen, pulled open the door to her refrigerator to grab some milk, and froze in utter disbelief. Sitting comfortably on the middle shelf, right next to the eggs, was a fluffy little rabbit.
The woman rubbed her eyes, stared at the creature, and demanded, “What on earth are you doing inside my refrigerator?”
The rabbit blinked calmly, looked around the sleek interior, and asked, “Well, this is a Westinghouse brand refrigerator, isn’t it?”
The lady looked at the logo on the door and nodded slowly. “Um, yes, it is.”
The rabbit snuggled deeper into the shelf, closed his eyes, and smiled. “Exactly. And I’m just westing.”
