After 50 years of faithful service, Dean the town postman was loading up his USPS van for his very last route—completely unaware that his final delivery would turn into the most unforgettable ride of his life.
As he made his final rounds, the grateful townspeople showered him with parting gifts. The local librarian handed him a beautiful leather-bound collection of classic novels. The owner of the neighborhood liquor store smiled and gifted him a premium bottle of 12-year-old single malt whiskey. Dean was deeply touched, but nothing could have prepared him for his final stop.
When he knocked on the door of Mrs. Smith, a stunning young newlywed who had recently moved to the area, she didn’t just thank him. She immediately took his hand, pulled him upstairs to the bedroom, and treated him to the most wild, passionate hour of his life.
As a thoroughly dazed Dean was putting his uniform back on, Mrs. Smith calmly walked over and slipped a single $1 bill into his shirt pocket. “We’re not quite done yet,” she smiled, leading the exhausted postman down to the kitchen, where she whipped up a spectacular, king-sized feast of steak, eggs, and toast.
Finishing his meal, Dean finally found his voice. “Mrs. Smith, the whole town has been incredibly kind today, but your generosity is out of this world. What on earth possessed you to give me such an extraordinary send-off?”
Mrs. Smith smiled innocently and replied, “Well, last night I was racking my brain trying to think of a nice retirement gesture for the mailman, so I asked my husband for advice.”
“And what did he say?” Dean asked, completely intrigued.
She shrugged and said, “He told me, ‘Eh, we’re new here. Screw him, give him a buck.’ …But the breakfast was entirely my idea!”
